Interested in Volunteering for Girl Scouts in Barrington?
There are many ways to volunteer in support of Girl Scouts. We need leaders, co-leaders, assistant leaders, parent helpers, event planners, service coordinators, campers, singers, skill builders, mentors. The more adults involved in Girl Scouts, the more girls are involved in Girl Scouts in a meaningful way.

The process was recently updated to be entirely on line! Follow this link to the volunteer you're interested in being, and the necessary forms will pop up for you to complete.
If you are interested in becoming a leader, don't be shy! Come see a troop meeting, meet other leaders, come to a GS event to see what's going on and how it works. It's a lot of fun--and a great way to share an experience with your daughter, granddaughter, or niece.
All leaders/co-leaders must complete New Leader training which is now entirely on line, as well.
Additional training that can be done over time as the needs of the troop change include:
1. First Aid/CPR training (available at GSSNE or online for a small fee)
2. Outdoor Day training (a 6 hour outdoor training program, part C of the leader training)
3. Troop Camp Training (which in many instances can be combined with Outdoor training, includes 1-2 evening sessions and a Saturday AM to Sunday AM camping experience at a GSSNE campground)
4. Troop Trip 2 Training for troops looking to do Museum Overnights, other overnights, or trips beyond 100 miles.
For each additional training, only one adult (and not always the leader) needs to complete each training in order for the troop to participate in a program/event.
